What a beauty of a dress! and a bit of a mystery!
Beautiful knee length dress in a beige and black Art Deco, Celia Birtwell ribbed chiffon crepe.
Has sheer long bishop style sleeves which have a sheer "puff" on the cuffs and that fasten with poppers. Has a rather stiff bias bound waistband from which the lining is sewn to.
Double layer chiffon on the bodice and upper arm and the skirt has a beige acetate lining
Long back zip fastening.
Pleats on the front and back of the skirt.
Is a bit of a mystery as it has certain elements of an Ossie dress, and is in a Celia Birtwell fabric but has no label and doesnt look to be made as well as an Ossie wouldve been. Priced accordingly
In good condition. theres a few slight marks here and there and theres significant stains under the armpits which arent that obvious and may disappear with a dry clean. One of the armpits does have a tear and will need strengthening. Small repair on the lining by the zip. Theres also a small tear by the pleats on the skirt and a couple of tiny nibbles if you search for them.
