Vintage 70s Jean Varon Maxi Dress S M

Unusual kaftan style dress dating from the 1970s designed by John Bates for Jean Varon - S/M

I could imagine  Elizabeth Taylor wafting about in this beauty back in the day!
Gorgeous Botanical print of handrawn chrysanthemums on a light beige/cream Tricel fabric that hangs beautifully to the floor, and has long bell sleeves that complement the voluminous cut of the dress and ...it has pockets!

Gathered at the neck creating folds that fall lovely, and has slightly puffed shoulders which accentuate the bell sleeves

In great vintage condition. Theres a couple of small marks but nothing obvious due to the pattern.

Label reads - "Jean Varon " " Harrods"  size 10
